Shelbi Roberson

Physical Therapist

Hi, my name is Shelbi! I’m looking forward to working with kiddos and their families at Playworks and I’m so excited to be part of the team.

I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2017 with my Bachelors in Kinesiology and received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. I always knew I wanted to work with kids. When I was in high school, I shadowed a home health PT and fell in love with the profession. I have been treating in pediatrics for 3 years in an outpatient setting where I have had the opportunity to treat various diagnoses and help with meeting gross motor milestones, improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, improve postural control all with a sensory integration approach to improve gross motor deficits. I have also been able to work alongside occupational therapists and speech pathologists and enjoy collaborating with other professions to help provide the best level of care to our patients. I love being able to work with children and help them reach their full potential and gain confidence to enjoy being a kid!

Dallas Stringfellow

Hey I’m Dallas! I graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelors of Science with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. In 2010, I completed the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. I have experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, long term care, and as a Director of Rehabilitation. I am certified with NBCOT and a member of the AOTA. I have lived in the Cooke County area for 10+ years and I am looking forward to growing the new Playworks Therapy location in Gainesville. As an OT, I love to be creative and learn all the details about what each kiddo loves and use that towards their goals. I am happy to answer questions and help families understand the importance of their therapy visits. I am a wife and mom of four and we love to spend our time on our family’s ranch, traveling (we are at Yellowstone in the picture), and celebrating all the fun holiday seasons.

Katie Taylor

Physical Therapist

Hi, I’m Katie! I am so excited to be a part of the Playworks Therapy team! I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from Oklahoma Baptist University and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my career practicing in Sherman in outpatient, acute care, and the public school system. I am a graduate of Callisburg High School and have called Gainesville and the Cooke County area home my entire life. I am married and have two children, two dogs, and 13 chickens. We enjoy spending time together as a family outside exploring various state parks, fishing, and attending church together. I also enjoy crocheting, baking, and planning which farm animal to add to our family next. As a mom, I know first-hand the need for pediatric physical therapy in Gainesville. I am so excited to bring my ten-year career back home to serve the community that I grew up in and to meet the needs of the people here! As a PT, I enjoy developing programs and treatment plans to meet the specific needs and interest of each kid I treat! We’re all created in our own unique way and I think that our therapy goals should be tailored to that!

Emily Everson

Physical Therapy Assistant

Hello, I am Emily and I graduated from Tarrant County College with an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy in 2023. I am overjoyed to be serving the Texoma community and rehabilitating the pediatric population. My father had a traumatic brain injury when I was a young girl and I watched him rehabilitate through all disciplines of therapy. I have been surrounded by the neurological population for most of my life. I fell in love with Physical Therapy and from that point on I knew I wanted to pursue a career in this field. I have always loved working with children from church to sporting teams it was a no-brainer this was the specialty for me. I have a husband Matthew, two kids Titan and Emerald, a baby on the way, and two fur babies Bella and Onyx. We love to go to church, hiking, and stay on our toes for all our kid's sporting events.

It brings great joy to my heart to work closely with families to help their little ones reach their goals, their milestones, and to watch them grow stronger each day!
